Perfect retreat by the water
As advertised this property is extremely clean, comfortable and updated. Was a perfect location and retreat in the region being close to towns and restaurants but nice and quiet on the lake. Helen the owner also close by and very helpful & communicative. We had a great stay and would come back for sure.

Best self catering we've ever stayed in. Phenomenal position, with a balcony boasting views over the Lake. Generous host providing fresh flowers, wine, chocolates , fruit teas and coffee pods(in addition to basics of milk, bread and butter) Highly recommended

Beautiful well equipped property
The property had everything needed for a lovely stay. The welcome pack was very generous and much appreciated. My granddaughter loved the small mugs ( probably meant for espresso) which she said were for kids. If the weather had been better we would have spent more time on the balcony as the view was lovely.

This is s gorgeous property overlooking Lake Windermere, every little detail catered for, even down to the bathrobes ! There was a lovely welcome pack when we arrived which was much appreciated and the views are to die for !!!! We will definitely be booking again !!

Outstanding!
Had a wonderful Christmas time with family (all adults) in Helens wonderful boathouse. Can’t fault anything about this place. Certainly had the wow factor response from all of us. Especially the view from the balcony overlooking the lake. Stunning! Very well equipped and totally spoilt with the welcome pack Helen left us. Milk, bread, eggs, fresh orange, butter, wine, too much to mention she’d thought of everything. Even lots of goodies and even left Christmas crackers. A beautiful Christmas tree and the whole place was spotless! Thank you so much Helen for a wonderful stay in your property. I can highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying, and we’re fussy!

Old boathouse renovated to the very highest standard. Lots of room for 6. Well equipped kitchen. Secluded from the bustle of Bowness but easily within walking distance of the restaurants there. Parking for 2 cars. Possibly the best location for a holiday rental, with a large balcony overlooking Lake Windermere

Perfect weekend

Super property well located.
This was a lovely property that easily accommodated a party of 6 adults. Well equipped and super clean. In a great location within easy walking distance of bowness with all of places to eat. Take the ferry that is 2 minutes away to the other side of the lake which is a lot quieter with really spectacular views if you go to the viewing station - only £1 for pedestrians. Will definitely be going back.

Simply wonderful
We stayed for a few days, wish we had booked for longer. The boat house is stunning. It had everything you could wish for. Helen, our host, had left us a welcome pack, even left beautiful fresh roses on the dining table. The view from the lounge was gorgeous. Waking up every morning, sitting on the deck over the water, what could be better? Every little detail had been thought out. My husband and I have travelled extensively and we have never stayed in such a wonderful relaxing place. I can’t recommend this enough. We will definitely be back as soon as we can. A big thank you Helen, we really needed to recharge our batteries, and did.

Brilliant Boathouse
We came up for my fiancés 30th birthday weekend with a few friends and we loved everything about this boathouse. From the extra that Helen had done for us, the views, the location, cleanliness and everything about this stay was brilliant, we all loved every second. We had a minor complication with the boiler and once I messaged Helen she was straight over and showed us what to do and apologised for the little error, she was very polite and was at the end of the phone if we needed her. We all sat on the balcony for breakfast every morning and admired the views and enjoyed the peace and quiet before we started the day with the best coffee thanks to the coffee machine and milk frother! The boathouse was spotless when we arrived and the instructions to get the keys were very clear too. Plenty of space for all of our stuff to be put away so we felt like we were home from home. Thank you for an absolutely great stay and we hope we will be back soon!!

Winter Break
The property had a wonderful lounge/ living area with fabulous views over the lake. Great for socialising in wonderful surroundings. The property is well furnished and extremely clean and well equipped. The central heating is a bit loud when it comes on during the night time but easily lived with for a long weekend. Would recommend and will book again.

Top notch in every regard!
Well where do I start? Firstly it's easy to find, with good parking for a couple of cars, a mile's walk from Bowness and all it's pubs, restaurants and shops (plus a few within barely a few minutes walk) and situated in a gorgeous position overlooking Lake Windermere - there aren't many better locations in the Lake District in my opinion! Now to the boathouse itself - you can see it's been completely renovated recently, and the finish is just excellent with quality fittings being used and everything in perfect working order. The pictures do not do the size of the space justice - we stayed as a family of four, but I am in no doubt that it would still be a very generous space for more. Beds were very comfortable, the kitchen reasonably well stocked in terms of utensils, pans and crockery, decent sized smart TV was easy to use. The owner was friendly, communicative but not intrusive, picking up/dropping off the keys was simple too. Will definitely be staying again!

Great place to relax and unwind
This property is superb. What a great position it has overlooking lake Windermere so beautiful and tranquil. At all times of the day our party made use of the balcony watching the boats, paddle boards and kayaks go by. The boathouse was cleaned to a very High standard and the quality of all furnishings, towels and bedding was first class. We have already been recommending this property to family and friends and are considering a return trip very soon. Helen our host was excellent with her communication before and during our stay. Thank you Helen.
