Our family gathered for the week to celebrate our parent's 50th anniversary. There were 13 of us for 2 nights and 9 for the rest of the week. There was plenty of space to gather and yet still could find a spot for a little quiet time if needed. The kitchen is large & has almost everything you need (we brought a salad spinner). We could all sit around the table for meals and to play games (plenty there to choose from, Anomia was a favorite). The outdoor space is great too, lots to do!
While there we visited the Football Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cuyahoga Nat'l Park, and had dinner at a Hibachi restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls. We took the golf cart to the lake access not far away & then drove our cars to the Daily Use space on the other side of the lake for a little nicer spot to spend some time.
Points to note: there is a varying degree of firmness of beds, if you are sensitive to that, try out the beds before selecting a room until you find one you like. And due to the sulfur odor, bring bottled water for drinking & brushing teeth. Neither of these things lowers my rating.
Our experience at Winklerwald & with it's owners was outstanding from start to finish. Many thanks to Mike, Amy & Felix who responded quickly to every message. Not to mention they went above & beyond to answer questions, assist with a few things that came up during the week & even to ensure we had a blender onsite for Pina coladas (per my mom's request). We would definitely stay again!
