I arrived at the hotel and had to work in my room that night. The room is lit with a large flouresent light and I asked the staff if they had a lamp. One staff person tried to help but the manager was clearly uninterested in providing a solution. I drove to KMART and purchased a $15 lamp. When I returned to the hotel I noticed the lamp needed a USB port. I asked the staff in. the could lend me a plug for the lamp. The manage again refused to even attempt to come up with a solution. In the end I plugged the lamp into a USB port in the TV - a solution I came up with myself. The manager was very unhelpful and uninterested in providing support.
