The unit is not 27km from Hervey Bay and is not just "across from beach". We booked for 2 nights and abandoned our stay first night due to the extremely disgusting condition of the unit. Have many photos of the filth and a metal spring protruding from the mattress. Terrible furnishings and pokey, horrible floor layout. I contacted the owner to request a refund and she doesn't even have the decency to discuss the matter. She meets you on sight and talks so you can't fully look at the unit and see what you are in for. The bed was so horrid I will be having nightmares for ages. Dried blood spots under one pillow. Woollen blankets with satin edges (so old) that I doubt have ever been washed; the dust in them was unbelievable. It made me sick, literally. The lounge was dusty, badly stained and so small you cant sit comfortably to relax and there was food spots on table and tomato sauce on top of one white chair.No attention to detail at all. The electric jug had been burnt out and not replaced. The fridge was full of water in the bottom. There was no shampoo or conditioner and a cake of soap the size of a 10c piece (for 2 people for 2 days). The mould on one lot of bathroom shelves was woeful and the dust and hairs on the others were so gross. The owner clearly has no respect for the hygiene issues created by COVID, let alone just being a decent person. Woodgate itself is not worth the 97km (each way) trip from Hervey Bay. The owner said she is selling the unit so obviously doesn't see a need to look after it. The most unfortunate part is that I never leave reviews and and that I have to give at least a one star rating for everything, because that is way too generous for this pathetic unit and the horrid little old owner. We only get very rare and short trips away once a year and she has spoiled this one for us and I hope she resurrects the problems before someone else is the next victim.
