"This cottage was perfect for our 5 year anniversary get away. It’s close enough to attractions and shops/restaurants/breweries if you want to explore. It is also nestled just outside (2 min drive) of all of this to allow for a beautiful secluded stay. My husband and I enjoyed all had to offer. The fresh eggs and bread (dairy free bc I can’t have dairy) were a special touch. We would return! Edgar and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. I even took home fresh eggs for the week. "

"Nice escape with close proximity to hiking and fishing. Lots of space both inside and out with a nice kitchen stocked with spices. The lake is very close, but didn’t look suitable for swimming"

"Beautiful and restful as always, my partner took the opportunity to learn to fly fish and he caught some nice bass. I enjoyed lounging in the screened-in porch and reading. Location is convenient to Luray and Shenandoah NP"

"We had a wedding to attend in Culpepper and it was nice to unwind a few more days at this cottage. Gorgeous area and the cottage was very comfortable/well equipped. Loved the peace and quiet! Jerry was a great host!"

"Clean, well-equipped, and cozy. Nothing bad to say about the cottage. Communication and check in process was a breeze. Town is very quiet, but cottage is a short drive to several nice spots. "

We loved seeing deer, view of the the pond nearby and the sky is so clear, you can see satellites and shooting stars very well.The owners were so detailed and friendly to leave treats and firewood for the fire pit on the patio. We stayed outside every evening. We plan to return, as the peacefulness and proximity to local attractions that they even recommended was perfect. Loved this booking! "

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Shenandoah National Park! The house is very big and spacious—even more than it appears in the pictures. It’s tucked away in the mountains, offering stunning views, especially in the morning. Just be aware that the house is located off a non-paved road, so it’s best to arrive before dark, as the drive can be tricky at night.The location is very close to Luray Caverns, which made day trips super convenient. The play area and hot tub were great...
