Like most northeasterners - heavy rain, high temps and UNBEARABLE humidity held us hostage inside the house and I desperately needed to get out so this trip was pretty much last minute. We wanted a quiet retreat for a few days, did not want to fly or drive too far by car so I started searching. I came upon this spot in VRBO in PA. Everything about it looked great and luck was in our favor, as this spot just happened to be available for a few days. Within an hour or 2 after booking, I was contacted by Josh, the host. This was only the 2nd time ever we hadn’t booked a hotel so Josh put my mind at ease right away and answered all of our questions and let us know that if we needed anything during our stay, to give him a call. GPS, additional directions provided by VRBO, plus additional directions from Josh took us right there. It was immaculately clean (I’m a clean fanatic - MUST HAVE clean!!!!). The air conditioner was on so it was nice and cool and had EVERYTHING we needed that we did not take with us. A bottle of wine, several COLD water bottles and a notebook listing restaurant and such were waiting for us. The front (river facing) deck was perfect for morning coffee while waiting for the sunrise. After the heat set in, we retreated to the side with the overhang (also river view), but a much more private, homey, and a completely comfortable spot.
