Visit near Yosemite
This property was in a great location, which is why we picked it. We were surprised there was no AC. When I called to ask for a fan because we have had some really hot days, they told me they would deliver a fan that never came. Another problem was that anytime I wanted to talk to someone about the property, I was talking to a very large company who communicated with a local team, so there was some delay in the communication. The house also has a lot of stairs from the parking gong down and then to the top of the house. At night, the stairs were not properly lit. I have a disabled spouse so that was scary. Overall, the place was a great location but we didn’t love it.

Just the Two of Us
We've stayed in this area before. Great to be within the park and only have to get through the entrance gates once. It took us an hour to get to the gate. This cabin was the upstairs of a small house. Combined living, kitchen, and dining area. Small bedroom with queen bed and bathroom. NO AIR CONDITIONING. The mornings were cool but it got hot in the afternoon (a heat wave while we were there). I had to to fix the living room fan to blow down at a higher speed. I also fixed the bedroom fan to blow faster. Both changes caused some dust to blow from the fans. I also cleaned off the top of the fridge so we could put some of our food there. No cabinet space for food. We couldn't find the listed toaster. We made toast using the broiler. Some glassware and silverware were dirty. We then took as much as we could fit in the dish washer and ran a load to make sure we had clean stuff. The listing said a grill was available. We saw two grills outside but right against the house near the door of the downstairs resident. Didn't feel comfortable grabbing one for our use. We just cooked and ate inside. The stairs down from parking and then up to the room were a workout. Not for those in poor shape. Especially rough after long days of hiking in the park - and when bringing our luggage and other stuff in and out. Another final note. The trash dumpster is kind of out of the way and a bit of a hassle to to get to. Ultimately, not bad and did not ruin a beautiful vacation in any way.

The property was clean, modern, quiet and very charming. It was more remote than I was expecting but we came prepared with groceries for the duration of our stay so was not a problem that there were no restaurants nearby. The refrigerator did stop working on the last day of our stay but that was just bad luck and not a reflection of the property.

Perfect for a couple
This was a great location inside the park about 25 minutes from Yosemite Valley. This is a basic, no frills spot that met our needs perfectly. The bed was fine; not the best or worst that we’ve ever slept on. The heaters worked well and were quiet, unlike some other places we’ve stayed that would never get warm. There are several flights of stairs leading down to this property and then one flight of stairs to our upper unit. We noticed that the lights along the stairs are in disrepair, so if you plan to arrive after dark, it would be good to have a headlamp. Communication with the host was very smooth and helpful. We would definitely stay here again since most of the other spots in Yosemite West are much bigger than we need. This would be ok for 4 people who don’t mind being cozy, but we think it works best for a couple.
