The Vatican Museums include more than 50 galleries, displaying artworks from a great number of times and cultures. Among these treasures, you can't absolutely miss:
- Sistine Chapel: Go to the heart of the Vatican, where Cardinals still officially elect Popes. This world-known Renaissance chapel contains two large frescoes by Michelangelo, realized between 1508 and 1541: the ceiling representing scenes and characters of the Bible, with a frame of prophets and sybils, and the Last Judgement on the west wall.
