"All I wanted was to get away and find a little solitude and disconnect from the hustle of life. This place provides a happy medium of alone and the necessity of modern convenience. Most important, it was quiet. Beautifully quiet. I would sit by the fire at dusk and watch the fire while listening to the Coyotes do role call in the distance. Such a relaxing hideaway that I wish I could have stayed there a month. The hosts did not bother my and respected my privacy. Eggs were good as well. "

"What an amazing place. One hour from Bangor and you’re in the woods with beautiful trees surrounding the cutest log cabin! We built a fire in the fire pit and cooked in a black iron skillet. So peaceful! Loved every minute of our time there. "

"We loved our vacation at Camp Baumann. The house was spacious and roomy yet cozy at the same time. So fun and unique and comfy spots for the whole family inside and outside on the multiple decks and docks. Loved the kayak and paddle boards, hot tub, fire pit - you name it. Steve was an excellent host. He was very responsive to my many questions and requests for recommendations. All 11 of us had a great time. "

"The place was dirty. Went to the basement to check out the laundry room and found standing water because the sub pump was broken, 3 full piles of bedding in and on the washer and dryer. This led me to believe the sheets on the bed had not been washed. The stove top was dirty, dishes in the dishwasher, dirt in between the cushions of the couch. "We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Huge family room with tons of seating and places to converse. Awesome game room that was used every evening and on the one day it rained. Plenty of kayaks and canoes to use for fishing and paddling around. The water was clean and clear and the perfect temperature. We had a great time in Monson and really enjoyed our stay at this location. Bill was a fantastic host and was available at any point to answer any questions.
