"Feel the nature! The river, the birds, the frogs - and the milky way. It's one of the darkest places around, so enjoy the view. Also the property itself is very lovely, clean with enough space. You will get 5l of water for cooking, a very good wifi und tv connection (you won't need them). Great place to enjoy some quiet days - the way via gravel roads and perhaps ferry: it's worth! "

"Absolutely gorgeous setting and loved the pool. If you’re traveling the garden route and staying just a night make sure to get there early enough in the day to enjoy the grounds! Also note that not all rooms have A/C. They all come with at least a fan though!"

"Truly amazing! Beautiful room, views and pool area. The food in the restaurant was splendid. The only thing that was a bit strange was that breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before, and coffee/tea was not included. And they have no lunch. I guess my feedback is that they should have more food options available. Another note to future visitors - the mountain road up to the hotel was a bit difficult if you have a smaller car. But other than that it was perfect."

"Wow - nothing was too much. The team at Small hotel just always surprised us from treats in our rooms to my car being washed (which I’m still in absolute shock and wow - that’s a memorable moment - thank you Wright). The team are all friendly - Noami, Chanti, Charles, Wright and rest of the team are incredible. The actual hotel is beautiful, it’s like a sanctuary. "Amazingly peaceful stay at this beautiful grand old house filled with gorgeous and well mantained antiques. The breakfast was incredible, and we really appreciated the fresh baked gluten free bread! The service was all we could wish for and we enjoyed swimming in the pool outside under the stars. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a break from the city hustle and bustle."
