"Fantastic views of the Smith River from the hot tub and dining room and which was just a staircase away! Liked having an EV charger and a clean house with a kitchen that had plenty of utensils, plates and cookware (we would have loved a kettle!). Please fix the fishing rod situation as only 1 was in working order out of the 6. It was also extremely cold in the house when we arrived and the water had not been turned on."

This cute property is tucked away nicely amongst the trees and even comes with its own chicken and rooster population. The converted barn was a little cold on our first day but the space heater Aneka left heated the room up very nicely. Communication with Aneka was a breeze and she was very responsive over text. "The ocean views were awesome! However, the house was a little less than expected. We were so looking forward to the massage chair shown in the pictures but it was broken and not functional. The 2 bean bag chairs smelled horrendous. The downstairs furniture was very outdated and not clean. The upstairs was fairly nice. No TV in the upstairs. There was a sound system for music though that was nice. The kitchen table was small and was not in very good condition. Only had 1 stool for the counter....

"It would have been more enjoyable if it was summer! Especially the hot tub in the backyard was great since the backyard is the part of redwood forest. We couldn't use it since it was cold. Clean and beautiful, but it feels smaller than the pictures posted. The bedroom on the rooftop is so cramp. The windows without shades in the bedroom bothered me. No shampoo provided. Overall great property!"

The gorgeous crystal clear Smith River is visible/walkable from the back porch, and this is a *perfect* home base location to see the Redwoods in the prime JS area. Joe the host was super friendly and let us use his canoe on the beautiful river, we had a little campfire out back and he has an active orchard/garden going on.
