"The house was lovely. Had everything we needed as advertised. Unfortunately, the town of Damascus was devastated by a flood due to Hurricane Helene. We lost power about 9:40am on 9/27. Also, lost water around the same time. We had to evacuate around 5:30pm on 9/27. We apologize for not being able to wash the dishes or complete some of the other check out procedures due to the circumstances. We are devastated for the community of Damascus as they have suffered catastrophic damage in town. Luckily...

"The stay was good. The well head was frozen when we got there but got the water moving. The host was responsive and had a good attitude. I give 5 stars because the weather shouldn't give a bad mark to the owner or property. Clean environment, really cool view, and perfect for a husband and wife getaway. Not normally the luxury I'm used to, but this place was an enjoyable stay for the weekend. I would recommend this cabin to any couple looking to get away for a secluded relaxing stay."

Abingdon was about half way between our respective hometowns. Regina is the best host! She has renovated and decorated this cabin to perfection! "We came up for a day in West Jefferson & a night at Tweetsie Railroad with my granddaughter. This house was perfect for our stay! The host sent detailed directions including an alternate route in case of bad weather. We arrived after dark in a downpour of rain & had no problems at all finding it or getting in. I would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again. It was exactly as described and such a charming home. Thanks to the host for a great stay! "
