"Lovely property set over 3 floors with all mod cons and full bathrooms on each floor. Has great entertaining space outside wuth hot tub, bbq, fire pit, seating areas both covered and uncovered. Would definately stay again. We stayed for a relaxing stress free night chill out night before my daughter's wedding. We were all impressed by facilties, and our host Tim. "We had a wonderful stay in lodge 1. The owner was friendly and helpful. The lodge was beautiful and had all we needed. We didn’t have a car but had friends who picked up up each day we went out. You would need access to transport. We would happily stay again! "

"Ideal location for getting around the island. Really good property however being slightly disabled i found the wooden staircase a challenge. It meant i had to drink less to avoid frequent toilet trips...ha ha. Would certainly recommend."

"We had a great room. Nice and warm. Great bed and pillows.. Buffet breakfast excellent. We went off season and managed to use the pool, which is an unusual design and only 6 people allowed in the pool at same time so not sure how useful in the summer. We were with family - 6 of us, so we had pool to ourselves and the children loved it."

"Lovely place. We stayed with our small dog for a couple of nights. Facilities are amazing, golf, spa, swimming, gym, etc. Set in beautiful, peaceful grounds with easy access to Douglas (20 min drive) We had a 3 course meal in one of the restaurants and not only was the food amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality but it really felt like they went the extra mile... and were happy to. "The Claremont is in a perfect location on the seaside in central Douglas. Stores and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Staff are friendly and efficient. Dinner as well as breakfast the next morning were wonderful. Room had a tub AND a walk-in shower! "
