"Beautiful little cottage. Me and my husband took our dog away for a few days in January '25 and this was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was warm and spacious with a view of the garden. The kitchen had everything that you could need and the fire was great to settle down infront of after a long day exploring This was a good base for exploring Northumberland."

"Fantastic setting so peaceful with beautiful views. Very cosy well equipped cottage. A perfect base for exploring the beautiful countryside. Only downside was that the next door cottage was also a holiday home so privacy while in the amazing big conservatory with fantastic views of the countryside was limited. "We recently had a 4 night stay at Dovecote house. A lovely house set in a primal location of all Alnwick local amenities. Upon arrival we were surprised by the size of the upstairs,3 double rooms, one twin and 2 bathrooms, just what we needed for a group of 7 adults 1 child, a baby and a dog . There were a few problems with the main bathroom, a bath that empties on its own whilst full, a light that was difficult to turn off and on and a unit around the sink which wasn’t attached. Had a pint of Estrella when I got there and probably the best pint I've had in a long time The room was very clean and comfortable.Wemt down for breakfast at the time booked and was served promptly. Breakfast was excellent although I didn't eat very much as I felt unwell but everything was well cooked and the quality was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will more than likely stay again as I visit the area quite often "
