"The Cottage on the Kennebec is exactly as advertised. We explored the area (Houston Brook Falls, Moxie Falls, and Jackman Trading Post are highly recommended!), but spent a lot of time just enjoying the property kayaking, grilling, sitting by the river, playing games, and using the fire pit. Mike and Kim were very friendly and made us feel welcome while respecting our privacy."

"We stayed here with my family to celebrate my dad turning 60. It was such a relaxing place, we cooked out, had a fire, played lawn games, went out on the paddle boat, and had a great time. It’s not far from Monson General Store, which was a bonus. The property was exactly what I was looking for, comfortable, clean, and well stocked with everything you could need (plus coffee pods and s’mores stuff - thank you!!). "Great spot on the pond! Wonderful place for couple or one person to stay. The dogs loved the fenced in yard and so did we. Home had everything we needed to make meals. Also had many of the small things like coffee filters, foil, a few zip lock bags etc that saved us having to pick up. We heard loons throughout our stay, and saw a bald eagle fly over the pond a few times. Its 10 minutes from Augusta, grocery less than 6 miles away. Communication was great with host. "We had such a relaxing stay at this cabin. The property is incredibly peaceful, and the neighbors are friendly but respectful of privacy. The cabin was clean and well-stocked with essentials like paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, and large towels, which made settling in so easy. It’s a great spot for guests of all ages, and we truly felt at home. We’re already planning to book this cabin again next year!"
