"More than I ever would have expected. Beautiful setting. Lovely cottage with all the amenities. Walk right out the front door into beautiful wooded areas and nearby stream and waterfall. Folks were friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I hope to return someday soon. "

"This was our second stay, so I guess we must like it. Seems like they improved the shower since last time, so that was nice. TV was a little difficult to get up and running but we eventually managed. Only other (very minor) thing would be to flip the hinges on the refrigerator door so it opens on the other side. Everything else was just fine!"

"Beautiful family cabin with a view of Lake Almanor. We enjoyed watching the colorful sunsets over the lake while sitting on the deck. Spacious, clean and well appointed with all the kitchen items you'd need. The cabin is in a quiet area, not far from Chester and easy access to the lake. We loved our comfortable stay and would happily return in the future. Thank you for a delightful base for our adventures!"

"Place was clean and easy to check in . Host was communicative and we had everything we needed. The water pressure and the double shower head was a nIce surprise. I did notice that some of the privacy issues mentioned on previous reviews were still there: There were no curtains on the kitchen window , very thin see through curtains on the bedroom window, and the giant floor to ceiling window and glass door inside of the bedroom with curtains only on the host side. "We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice. They should make it lighter...
