"The Skyline Lodge is an older property that is on top of a ridge a couple of miles outside of Highlands. The property is quite beautiful It was extensively renovated and updated a couple of years ago. Our room was large and nicely decorated. the bathroom was a bit small but fine. "This is such a great place. Rooms were very nicely done , comfortable king size bed, amazing shower . Very quiet . Walking distance to several dining options. Common area with fire pit and comfortable chairs. Check in was the easiest I have ever experienced. Great sitting area in the lobby area with gas fire place and a covered front porch with a few rocking chairs. A few cottages on site as well. Staff were so accommodating and very friendly. "The place was exactly as advertised. It is small but the two of us had a great time and the place is very convenient to several state parks. Parking is a little slim but everything was good overall.
