"Our stay was lovely. We stayed for 3 nights and the staff made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate us. They were very approachable, professional, polite, helpful. The food was all cooked well, and decent size potions. The pub and accommodation was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again."

"Nice comfortable room with adequate facilities in room. Not a lover of toilet brushes and the one in the bathroom was sitting in goodness knows what and noticed it as soon as entered the bathroom as the holder was clear - not nice. No tv remote in room and to be fair we didn’t request one during the stay as we got back late and didn’t notice until ready for bed and would have had to walk into the bar area! "

"I had a lovely stay at the Hood Arms with my dog Anya. It was very convienient for Cannington College where I was attending a course with my dog. Lovely food and very comfortable stay."

"Lovely stay with an excellent welcome from very attentive hotel and restaurant staff. Room and bathroom was a bit smaller than I expected, and could do with a bit more modernising, TV was very small and floors quite uneven and creaky. But that kind of added to the atmosphere of an ancient gatehouse. Next time I would request a room with a view of the cathedral as I think these must be more spacious. "

The surrounding property is nothing short of gorgeous and peaceful. The room was top-notch! Staff was wonderful. The bar is fantastic, and the dining was excellent! The surrounding town was beautiful too!"
