"Island Place is an amazing stay to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia. The hotel is clean and well maintained and walking distance from downtown and the Village Green. We were able to walk to the shuttle buses instead of driving. Maureen and everyone there are the nicest people we've encountered at a hotel ever. They have amazing recommendations and made us feel like home. We are eager to come back!"

"It was a good one night stay experience at Dan and Joan’s place. The suite is big, clean and cozy. It’s on the side of the building and has its own entrance which provides us more privacy. The living room is big so we got enough space for our luggages. The bed is super comfortable, like it a lot. "

In addition to being well appointed, we really appreciated the extra touches - good water pressure in the shower, the prepped/equipped community campfire, the ‘enchanted’ forest walk for kids, the couple of kids books in the bunk bed room. Wish we could have stayed longer!"
