Nice place for a family getaway

The pictures describe the property well. The kitchen was well stocked in terms of pots, pans, utensils, etc. It has a beach that worked well for launching paddleboards and kayaks, but not for swimming. The lake has a problem with milfoil weed, and once you are past knee deep from the beach you hit it. There is a nice public beach 2 houses away that is better for swimming. Overall fantastic place, best of both worlds being on a lake, but close to the ocean.

Wonderful family trip!

This is our new favorite house to stay in for our family vacations! Very updated, loved all the windows, the backyard was amazing. My kids were ready to make it our permanent home. ;) We will definitely book this property again for a family vacation!

Beautiful location on the lake

It is a great home in a beautiful location on the lake. Large fire pit right on the waters edge and big yard for outdoor play in drier weather. Be aware though that the grill they reference is actually a small camping size propane grill, would be fine for hot dogs or burgers but not heartier grilling.

Cast Away

It's a beautiful home and the view is magnificent, breath taken. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony or having coffee on a stormy day watching our kids played by the fireplace. Like all kids, ours love fishing directly from the deck and the retaining wall during their distance learning breaks. And, there's plenty of room to run and played tag in that large yard. This home gave us some of the most memorable experiences as we watched our kids enjoying what this place have to offer.

Perfect stay at Alder House

Our family of 5 plus 2 of the girls' friends enjoyed the long labor day weekend at Alder House. VRBO listing very accurate, check in and check out were seamless. Beautiful property, right on the the lake. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property right on the water, quiet area that makes for a relaxing stay.

We would stay there again but for a longer period of time. The extra fees make it a little costly when spread over only three days.

The property is breathtaking. The home has wonderful amenities.

Overall we had a very positive experience. It is truly gorgeous. The property is amazing. The home has everything you could ask for with wonderful spaces to relax and visit with family. It would have been perfect if the beds were a little more comfy and the neighbor didn't make us feel like our every move was being watched. Other than that, it is truly a lovely property.

Very nice home and property but shared space with the owners

The house was absolutely amazing. Great set up. Would of prefered to of known it is not a private space and shared with the owners. At first when we got here they were NOT friendly or welcoming. Even started confrontation, it was very unprofessional. Later things calmed down but still inappropriate and should of never happened. The house experience though was great and the back yard. Again should be disclosed on website that it is shared with the owners who feel they can do as they please on there property during your stay. For people to know when paying the price when picking this location.

Beautiful home, beautiful location.

We enjoyed our time here. The dock, the beach, the firepit, the swimming beach next door were all a big hit. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the outdoor barbecue should be large enough to accommodate meals for 10. We had planned our dinners for 10 people around the barbecue, which turned out to be a small grill which was very dirty.
