Comfortable stay in good location
Great location - outside of the city but a quick drive in. Quiet and comfortable environment. The house was stocked well and the host was great. Would definitely stay again!

I had to contact the property manager to get access to the home once we got there. The email with instructions wasnt sent to us 24 hr in advanced. Not enough bathroom supplies we had to go buy our own. The location was in a good spot located close to businesses, but enough out of town to be quiet. The yard was beautiful and you could sit on the porch and enough the scenery. Price was very resonable. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

Loved Savannah. the house was clean and as pictured/described! A little further outside of Savannah proper than we thought, but we made work. Area is being renovated with multiple house under construction and a few more in desperate need. Very quiet neighborhood!

Cute and great location!
The house was clean and very cute. Great location- close to everything. Only thing we disliked about our stay was the window coverings/curtains. The bathroom didn’t have any and we felt “exposed” to all the neighbors. Same for the living and dining room. There were blinds but at night time you could see right through them and see everything and anyone in the house.

A truly amazing stay in Thunderbolt, GA....
I booked this property for my concert production workers from Atlanta coming to Savannah for the three weeks of shows. Not only is "The Sugar Shack" an absolute beaut of a home in what's now being called the lowcountry's "hippest little town", (Thunderbolt, GA) the property, landscaping, and neighborhood nature can't be beat; literally a three block walk from the intracoastal waterway. The home is fully supplied with everything one might need/want for a short, or longer stay. The two full bedrooms and pullout futon couch were more than enough for us, and the newly renovated bathroom is top notch, both in materials and ease of use. We really just can't say enough great things about this rental, and would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a real Savannah local's experience. With downtown being ten minutes away, and Tybee only fifteen in the other direction there really isn't a better spot to post up and see the entirety of the area. We had zero complaints or issues and will be back for sure. Thanks for the great stay!!!

Perfect. Beautiful. Central. And again, beautiful!l
This place was hands down my favorite place I have stayed! I look forward to coming back. The partial wrap around porch gave us a perfect rainy day experience when being anywhere else would have green miserable. I could go on and on about the porch swing the lounge chairs that overlook all of the beautiful trees and vegetation. Even our Uber driver complimented on it. On that note, I loved the location. 15 dollar(ish) ride into the heart of downtown and river walk. We opted to not drive and deal with parking because it was so inexpensive. Ate amazing food, walked around with drinks and didn't have to worry at all about getting home. Tybee Island was a short drive to as well and very easy to get to from the house. You are pretty much right in the middle of the two major areas. We did find great places right around the corner as well. The house itself had such a old cabin/bungalow feel to it without being worn out or out of date. It had a huge clean bathroom with a bed room on each side of the house. The large full kitchen looks into the beautiful private back yard where...well you just have to see it.... but the prettiest tree in Savannah stands. Books and magazines to keep you entertained on that porch for weeks to come! There is a smart TV for taking a break. But, I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the property is and should be enjoyed. Getting a hold of property manager was very easy as well when we had a question on the keyless locks(user error). If you want to see Tybee Island, downtown Savannah, and have a nice southern slow down, this is the place.

Perfect in-between location
Cute house in the perfect location between Savannah and Tybee. Quiet neighborhood and great parking. I wouldn’t recommend for any more than 4 guests, but it’s the perfect size for 4 or less. Blinds are see through at night if the interior lights are on, so if you’re an all girl party, please be careful.

Lovely house outside of town
Molly was a great host. My fiancé and I stayed here and worked remotely for a month and had a great time. Molly even lent us an extra folding table to use as a second desk. The house is in a small town called Thunderbolt, about a 10 min drive from the main part of Savannah. We loved having a wraparound porch and more space than we might get in town, but it would’ve also been nice to stay somewhere where you can walk to shops and restaurants. Uber is also pretty cheap to get into town. There is a Whole Foods close by, about a 5 min drive. We’d recommend this spot!

Your Own Little Piece of Paradise
I would like to thank property manager Molly for being so responsive and cooperative. Over a month-long staycation was just what I needed to leave the busy work schedule behind. The bungalow has everything you need for everyday life. The cleanliness was top! The spacious kitchen has a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker. I liked the dining area, and living room area connected. The living room area has another entrance door from where you can escape outside to the wrap-around porch, enjoy a meal or drink on the swing and listen to nature around. There is a plenty of parking outside the property. Beautiful Spanish moss tree at the back yard where you can enjoy your morning coffee just looking at nature and listening to birds in the morning. Ensure using mosquito repellent (noseeum) at all times while outside. The location is great between downtown, midtown, and Tybee which were my frequent stops. The only sad thing was that I had to leave for work in Europe. I absolutely adore staying at the Sugar Shack and surely will be back.

Quaint Cottage in Lush Surroundings
I immediately felt at home in this lovely house. It's age made it comfy & the updates in the bathroom & kitchen gave it the modern feel we are all so used to. Top of the line appliances were very much appreciated. I loved walking around the yard admiring the beautiful landscape with so many tropical plants. My tastes would prefer firmer mattress & window blinds that are not see-thru. Neighborhood was quiet & safe. Molly was our contact person & she couldn't have been more helpful to us when we needed her. I would love to stay here again.

Perfect stay for a visit to paradise
The Sugar Shack was the best part of our visit to Savannah! Nestled in a safe, quiet, residential neighborhood in Thunderbolt, we immediately felt at home. It was all the ammentities we'd need of it was our own home— beautiful bedroom connected to the bathroom, full kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, dining room, family room with Apple TV. It's walkwable to several things— Bonaventure Cemetery, The Wyld Dock Bar & Grill, etc. It's about 1/2 way between downtown Savannah and Tybee Island, so we were able to do all the things we wanted with no hassle. The yard is fenced in and ultra lush— perfect for bringing our dog. The big wraparound porch made us feel oh-so-Savannah— we were very active during our stay, but also made time for relaxing on the porch. We loved The Sugar Shack so much that we're back home trying to find a house just like it to buy here!
