"We stayed here for one night while visiting Alton Towers, and it was ideal. The room was very clean, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was delicious—just what we needed after a long day. They also offer a kids’ menu, which was a great touch. "Owners and staff were welcoming and the room was spacious, full facilities, warm. Approx 9 miles from Buxton, a rural but convenient for access. Adjacent to a main road, but no disturbances for sleep with the rooms to the rear of the pub. Enjoyed the well presented food. Lovely fish & chips. Slight issue over lasagne, quickly remedied/replaced. Excellent cooked breakfast. Good quality ingredients. Very good value, would recommend and probably return if in area again."
