The room was lovely, clean and well equipped (home from home), with some fantastic views. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. "I liked the location, which was excellent, right in the centre of Ambleside. There are plenty of shops, especially hillwalking type shops nearby. It is possible to walk to the lake, but for me it was a long walk. There are plenty of buses to go to the lake, to Windermere, or Bowness-on -Windermere. The hotel has a dog-friendly bar, serving nice meals, with nice friendly staff."
