"This is a cute cottage on Russell Island, just a few houses up from a shallow sandy beach great for kids and families. The home was nicely decorated, clean, the linens and bedding were fresh, kitchen stocked with some helpful cooking basics, the beach toys and kayak wonderful, as well as the hospitality from both the owner, Carole, and caretaker, Audrey. "We loved our stay here and we would highly recommend it. Being beach front was amazing and being able to walk to a variety of restaurants was very convenient. The cabin has been freshly updated with a new bed and a nice tv. Our adult son comfortably slept on the pullout bed in the living room and having 2 bathrooms was perfect. People at the resort are very friendly and we had a lot of fun. "

"We loved our stay in Hartswell! The house was perfect for our time there and it had everything we needed. The views were lovely and the location is great - not too far from town but enough to feel off the beaten path. Warren was available as needed and checked in often! "We had a great time at Beside the Point. It is a cottage not real big but big enough for us. They had everything we needed at the cottage. We dined in quick a lot and everything worked well. The view is amazing and I would have to say the private beach was the best. We love to kayak but could not go as far as we would have liked because one of the kayaks had holes. But going out kayaking was very enjoyable. We saw a ton of ocean life. Thank you for your cottage on our 40th Anniversary. "

"The house is one of the newer on the island. It is located on RUSSELL island , across from the wonderful Sandbar. I would not say there is direct access to a beach. But you can easily hang out at the Sandbar beach, which is super popular destination for boaters to pull up, calm water, great food and drink.
