"This was a perfect little getaway for my family of 5. Two adults and 3 children ranging from 11-5yrs. The location was remote enough to feel immersed in the forest, but not far from the cities. You can walk to the grocery stores and restaurants as needed. Santa Cruz and the beach is only 30 minutes away, San Jose is about an hour and San Francisco is about 2 hours from this location. We went to all three during our stay. We also spent time in the redwoods at big basin and took a train ride...
